Sites in Nordhavn

Copenhagen's residents and businesses have the opportunity to settle in the city's new district surrounded by water on three sides.

As an active industrial port, Nordhavn is undergoing a transformation into Copenhagen’s new international waterfront district in a compact urban area with residential and commercial buildings served by centrally located metro stations.

- In 2015 the first residents moved in. Today there are approximately 2,000 inhabitants and 4,500 jobs.

- Nordhavn will be home to 40,000 residents and 40,000 employees when completed.

- Århusgade and Marmormolen were the first two neighbourhoods to be developed. The neighbouring areas Sundmolen and Trælastholmen are currently in progress.

- A new masterplan has just been made public for the next development area Levantkaj, containing 500,000 m2 new floor space, for which a district plan is expected to be in place by 2020.

- Construction of excellent infrastructure is underway.

- The prize-winning cruise ship terminal receives about 850,000 passengers annually.

- The land reclamation project will make Copenhagen 1.0% larger.
